VBS
July 18-22
9:00-12:00pm
It’s been a long few years since we had our last full VBS.
We’re excited to open registration and get the details planned and prepare for VBS in July.
We will open up registration to our congregation first, starting on May 1st.
We are capping the number of children we can accept this year.
Most notably we will only be taking 20 children for the Preschool VBS. - Preschool VBS is for children who are 4-5 years old.
- The Elementary VBS is for children who are entering grade 1 to grade 6. Our older elementary students, those who have completed grades 5 or 6, can serve as junior helpers.
Public registration starts on May 8th.
Registration is OPEN! Don’t delay!

Friday April 22nd : Baseball! Our youth leader, Josh, plays for the Collegiate Riverhawks baseball team. This is the Collegiate team, not to be confused with the other Edmonton Riverhawks team. The Collegiate team plays their home opener double-header tomorrow, one game at 3 pm, the other at 6 pm. We will meet at Remax field for the 6 pm game at the gate. If you can’t arrive until later, or need to leave early, that’s ok. Family and friends are welcome to join us too. We can bring our own snacks and beverages, although some may be available at there. The cost per person is $6.
Please let me know if youth and family/friends are coming so we can watch for you. Dress for the weather. If you child needs a ride, try coordinating with another family. Address for Remax Field: 10233 96 Avenue in the heart of Edmonton.

LCC Ukraine Aid Fund
to
support SELCU pastors
and congregations
"With the displacement of thousands of people fleeing the violence that continues to rage throughout Ukraine, relief aid is desperately needed. While general relief aid may be made through Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) and other such agencies, specific support for the pastors and people of the congregations of the Synod of Evangelical Lutheran Churches in Ukraine (SELCU) may be made to the Ukraine Aid Fund established by Lutheran Church–Canada and which can be accessed through our website.
St. Paul reminds us in this regard: “As we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10). LCC has been involved for many years in providing theological education and other support for the congregations of SELCU. As we continue to pray for our brothers and sisters of the household of faith, I also thank the people of Lutheran Church–Canada in advance for your generous gifts in their time of need.”
- President Timothy Teuscher, Lutheran Church–Canada
